Alissa says her favorite thing about blogging is that it’s sucha saturated community of creative people. She loves that she always learns something new and connects with peopleshe might not have otherwise.
She’s been blogging for alittle over 4 years. When she began planning her wedding someone suggested awedding blog for her to check out for inspiration. Her thoughts were “Blog?! Creepy online diary?! aboutweddings?! what?! Oh, what little I knew...”. Reading wedding blogs spread todesign blogs, and then fashion, and her favorites/idea folder started burstingat the seams. It just felt right to start her own to share her own inspiration.
Graces Birdcage, has definitelytransitioned along with her life - from weddings to a new interest in fashionto travel to home remodeling once we moved into our old, old house. It ebbs andflows as work and house projects keep her busy and the inspiration for italways changes. She says she thinks of it as a visual journal to document and aplace to dump her mind when she’s happily overwhelmed with ideas or inspiration.
Alissa works as a commercialinterior designer at a local architecture firm. She grew up in various cities throughout the Midwest, andhas lived in Kansas City for the past seven years.
